dogs voice gets hoarse

ive got 2 beagles that have great sounding voice but theres times that they sound hoarse or real low and i can barely hear them a guy told me they could have tape worms do ya know if that could be true or any rerason why their voice would sound hoarse at times sometimes i take them out n they sound real good n other times they sound terrible any help will be greatly appreciated im thinking bout getting rid of thjem if their voice dont clear up jb
