NEED HELP QUICK--SICK DOG

Post by tinymwoods »

I have 2 sick dogs. They have been in a kennel together almost a week. The kennel is 12 X 15 with a huge dog house. One dog is 3 the other is not quite 2 yrs. The 3 yr old has diarhea and it almost reminds me of a pup with parvo and it stinks. She has had 1 litter of pups and all vaccines are up to date. Her gums look healthy but she acts a little "down". The 2 yr old is vomiting white stuff. She gets real dizzy acting and lays down. These are 2 good beagles. The 3 yr old is out of Brankos Magnum and the 2 yr old is out of Junie. Any help would be appreciated. I may have to take to vet in morning. I gave both of them a little Duramycin antibiotic in thier drinking water but no change since this morning. PLEASE HELP??!!

I would get a syringe and force water or gatoraide until morning. make sure they stay hydrated which is what could kill them at this point. Its hard to say what it is but, I'd sure have the vet look in the morning.

What is their status? Did you find out what was wrong with them?

my uncle had about the same problem last year and it was from them eating frogs the vet said that was the frogs defense.keep antibiotics and liquids down them.I am not saying that is what has happened but sounds like the same symptoms his dogs had.

dogs are doing somewhat better...vet thought maybe they got ahold of poisin through a dead rat or something that made them sick. We gave them milk which he said was a great idea and said the antibiotic was probably useless. Still awaiting more tests but vet said it did not seem life threatning.
