I use the Safeguard cattle wormer. Your dosage is correct.

Goat stuff is all I use anymore, nothing cheaper.. you can pop em 3 days in a row at 1cc per 5lbs and it gets most all intestinal worms plus giardia. Never had it show a bad effect on a dog.

It's a better wormer than Nemex2. I use Nemex2 on pups until they are 6 weeks old though. Nemex kills hooks and rounds. Nemex is very mild. It's takes a ton to overdose a dog. You have to be really not paying attention to even overdose a puppy. Safeguard kills hooks and rounds, and one of the types of tape too. It's still pretty mild. My dogs like the taste of it, just squirt it on their food. Safeguard used to be my primary wormer, now I only use it on pups from 6 weeks to 1 year. Switched to Equimax, it's a little harsher, but I don't give it as often, and it kills pretty much everything, even mange. You can overdose with Equimax though.

Goat wormer and cattle wormer are the same thing. Just marketed in a smaller container.

I thought so, but I wasn't 100% sure, so I didn't say.

I use the Safeguard cattle wormer also. I switch between that and Canine Allwormer every 2-3 months.
