I think my dog ate a walnut. We had him under the walnut trees in our yard i looked outside and saw him eating something. I ran out and grabbed him there was a couple of walnuts sitting there. I put him in the house and told no one to take him out.

Well my brother took him back out when i told him not to. I got home from Church and he was just sitting there staring at the ground. I brought him back in the house and he started to act like he was going to throw up. I put him outside and he threw-up 4 times. And then he was sitting there drooling, and quivering. He layed down and doesn't feel like getting up, even if i walk by he just lays there. I tryed calling the vet and there not open, neither is any of the others that i called.

He is drinking alot of water now.

I looked up walnuts and dogs on google. And they said its posinous and sometimes kills dogs. He has some of the symptoms also.

Does anyone think he will make it?? What else can i do???

Can you call around to some other vets? This site say's it has a free poison control line for pets http://www.mediarelations.k-state.edu/W ... 82406.html The ASPCA charges 50.00 to call theirs...sheesh!

Huntin54 how is your dog is he ok?

Yep he started acting his self later that day. And he's fine now, had him out to chase bunnies that same afternoon that it happend cause he got off the leash somehow when i left.

Glad to hear that huntin54. Dogs sure do get into the darndest things.

Yea they do. And my little female she just loves to chew on everything. Even though i have 4 bones in the kennel with her.
