I have pups that are three weeks old. I am going to panacur them tonight.
I usually give it to them for three days( adults) but since I will give it to them in two weeks again, and two weeks after that should I give it to them for three days now ? Is three weeks too young to start feed. I have very small kible black gold ultimate puppy? They acted like they wanted in the mothers feed bowl.

I can't answer your 1st question as I use Nemex 2.

As for feeding them dogfood, IMO they are a little young. I start weaning at 4 weeks and usually by 5 1/2 weeks they're fully weaned. I've got pups that are 4 1/2 weeks old and are eating Purina puppy chow, mixed w/ hot water and mashed up right now, but are still nursing.

I may be a little late in posting here, but I would not use Panacur to worm pups this young. JMHO, but pyrantal pamoate based wormers are much safer and very effective for puppy worming.
Give it by mouth, every 2 weeks, starting at two weeks until 16 weeks of age, then monthly at a preventative.
As far as introducing solid foods, it is ok to let them get some, but don't rely on it for a portion of their nutrition. I would also moisten it well for them (like a mush) to prevent choking. They don't have the stomach acids, intestinal flora, or teeth to digest this type of foods yet, so introducing it slowly and in a form that is comfortable for them is best.

If they are up and around walking well and have some little teeth buds you might soak some dog food overnight then mash some with a fork and add some canned milk or canned goats milk to it for them and see how they do. I still think 4 1/2 weeks is plenty soon to start food with puppies. keep this in mind. The sooner they start eating food the less mamma dog will clean up!! LOL ie: lottsa POOP!

You can use Panacur at 3 weeks of age ( same active ingredient in Safeguard ) but they may be a little young for kibble. Try soaking the kibble and add some milk replacement if you have it in hot water till it's mushy and see if they lap up the gravy, if they do it wont be long till they are eating solid.

That seems heavy for 3 weeks. I weighed my pups last Thurs. (4 weeks old) for their 2nd dose of Nemex 2 and they were between 2.1 and 2.4 lbs.

I like to give em that teeny dab of Ivomec to prevent heartworm if it's summer and they are up 3 month old or so. It's probably not necessary but I am a heartworm phobic and you will be too when your good one gets it.
