Puppys body heat

Hi Doc
First wecome back. My Question is at what age do newborn puppies start to produce self sustaining body heat. Thanks in advance.

Bill, I'm told pups are unable to shiver until they are around 10 days old.

And it is all a scale. Just cause they are shivering doesn't mean one can pitch'em out in the snow!
