Neck disc problem

Have a four year old male with severe pain in neck has been on previcox for a second week first week didn't help has any one had a beagle with this disc problem and pull out with meds? Thanks George

i have had 2.... one male when i was younger and he was retired. also had a female and she ended up getting worse and lost all motor skills from the center back and had to be put down.

We just went through a herniated disk with our pom. Unfortunately she died. She did respond to some high doses of prednisone and another toy dog we have has had success with Glucosomine/chrontroitin supplement. Its a waiting game either way hoping that the inflamation goes down. The Glucosomine doesn't hurt either.

Thanks for the information, After the second week he went four days before another episode.The Previcox is a new non steroid drug. I put him back on the meds at one half dose and seems normal , I have considered the glucosamine supplement it has helped me alot. George

Me too. I have bad knees and I really notice the difference when I take it. For the dog we ordered synflex on ebay. This is a liquid and easier to dose a dog with.
