What does everyone use when there dogs if they get tapeworms???

I've been worming all my dogs with Ivomec everything month and Safeguard every other month.

I think that one of my dogs might have tapeworms. Do i need to take him to the vet to get the medicine or is there a wormer i can give him to get rid of them.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I get tape wormer from tractor supply company. You can use anything that has the ingredeint praziquantel. Alot of people on here think that ivomec and safegaurd will kill tapes but that is not true.

The safeguard should work. Are you giving it 3 days in a row?

I have had several dogs in the past come up with tapeworms and have gotten rid of them quickly using Panacur. Panacur has fenbendazole, the same as safeguard.

If that isnt working, I would try rotational worming with another product made for tape worms. Just make sure that its a different drug and you shoudnt have any problems.

I hope you get it cleared up.

Thanks. Im going to order some and use it next time.

I used Safeguard Canine Dewormer last time and it seemed to work. It says on the package that it kills tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.

It comes in 3, 2 gram packages. The only thing I didnt really like about it was trying to measure grams to get the dosage right for puppies.

Guys,

There are a couple of places you can get Canine allwormer much cheaper than that. It works great once every 3 months no tapes and no other worms to worry about.

Try http://www.vetnpetdirect.com or http://www.vetstop.com. I have used both.

Okay here is all the prices for canine all wormer this is the 40 tablet bottle.

PetsMegaStore-US$87.32
VetStop-$75.80 USD
VetnPetdirect-US $ 54.60

And Wormout is- US$94.82 for 50 tablets.

My question is, is the Wormout any different or better then the canine all wormer.
