You can supplement the diet with cod liver oil, 1 tsp. per day or Salmon oil, the salmon oil cost about double what the cod liver oil does. They say that the Salmon is better, but I have had good results from the Cod Liver oil. You can buy it by the gallon from revival.

I know they have reviews on this site of the cod liver oil, however they are trying to sell their own product so you need to take this into consideration as well as what you read.

I just go to sams club or walmart and get a bottle of fish oil caps. I put one in their food twice a week. Actually vegatable oil works fine to and is much less expensive and you probably have it in your home. If she is the only one with dandruff you might want to look for another reason why?

An old timer told me to use corn oil, pour some in a plastic pop bottle then drill a small hole in cap. Just squeeze about a teaspoon on the feed a few times a week.

Coat problems almost always relate to diet. My dogs' coats are shiny, oil free and non smelling. They are on a raw chicken and veg diet. Kibble is too refinded and full of stuff the dog doesn't need. Salmon oil is the best of the oils and helps with brain function and neural integrity. Carolyn

Carolyn,, you are right about the brain thing with salmon oil... My Savannah and Annie Mae have figured out that at the end of the day when the hunts over that they can run back out of sight and get another liver treat instead of getting leashed up,,,, those hounds are smart as all get up!!!!
