Need HELP !!! Broken down tail / not wagging .

Post by JUDE »

I just came home this evening from taking my little girl to the Dr. she is doing fine .
I fead the pups before I left I have 2-6 moth old and a 4 month old . the pups were doing great and all ate well as usual . This evening when I returned home I went out to feed and water again . My male pup was holding it's tail straight down / not wagging it at all . They all still ate very well with no problems he is still running strong in the legs so no weakening of the rear , I think I can rule out parvoe . I raised his tail and mashed lightly up and down with no noticable pain or broken places and no blood . I did pick up worm medicine in the pill form and worm them all on Tuesday . The medicine in pill form was adequate dosage or a lil less . Has any of you or your friends ever had this happen with your dog ??? What was the problem ???

Thanks in advance for your help .

He may have an infection in his a$$hole. Take your Thumbs and squeeze his Bunghole like a zit. I would bet infection comes out. I have seen this many times.

Sounds like cold tail to me unless he is acting sick otherwise. Give him a couple of days and it will come back. If he is vomiting or lethargic then of course have him checked out at the vet but, otherwise wait it out.
