I just bought a gallon of Albon(sulfadimethoxine) concentrated solution 12 1/2%.
Does anyone know the correct dosage for dogs in the treatment of coccidia

Thanks

Greetings Nate,
If you go to the beaglesunlimited site an click on the health link, in the left side of the page, then click on the topic you want, it will give a good info. on treatment. Albon is very bitter to taste, so sweeten it up before you give it or put on food. Hollar, if you need any more help.
Best of luck...Patch

I forget the formulation, I think it's a tablespoon per gallon of water. If you put it in their drinking water and make sure this is the only water they get, it works wonders.

Hi Bev,
It says to cut the 12% albon to 5% and give 1 teaspoon per 10 lbs. first day and 1/2 teaspoon per 10 lbs. there after for 10 days. We take 1 oz karo syurp and 4 oz. water and add 4 oz. of the albon 12%. This cuts it to 5% and sweetens it up for the hound. The mix on the web site is probably better since it cuts it with a more benfitical substance...Patch

I haven't used it in awhile, so I'm not familiar with the dosage, but the dogs I gave it to LOVED it!
