I found this web site and has one of the best illustrated instructions on trimming toe nails on a dog I have seen so thought I would post this on here.

This article is very well written and illustrated.

Well, the pics DO look good  ....but not as easy as ya think. It takes lots of practice for you AND the dog. Some dremels are noisey and with the long hair breeds ya got to watch out for hair getting wrapped around the thing  . See those black nails?.....don't think they don't get hot either while sanding----they do....plus you can still hit the quicks if ya go too far. But then again, I have known a few groomers that sware by the things.

I found the same article TC/JC mentioned in the original post while doing a search on the "peticure" machine I saw advertised on TV. Other than it's special guard, most folks say it is just a cheap dremel! The article is very good and helped me to realize that I was cutting the nails at the wrong angle! After reading the article, I think I can do a pretty good job with a combination or my old trimmers and a cheap dremel type tool I already have. For now, I will not be buying the peticure! I only have a couple do not wear their nails down by digging.
