My wife has a bassett hound that we keep in the house,we let him outside quite often through out the day.He isn't fixed.I keep my beagles outside & they are in above ground pens.Every time they come in heat,he goes nuts. When he comes back inside,he wants to ride everything that will let him.Especially our great dane.If we would get him fixed would that cure this problem?Like right now he is standing at the door wanting out & we just brought him in.

It takes 30 days or so for the hormones to go after neuter. I think it would help quite a bit with his "addiction" LOL
Not sure but my beagle didn't calm down for 2-3 months after hsi neuter but he luckily didn't try to ride anything in the house in the beginning just still tried extra hard to check out other dogs.
It depends on how old he is. It might curb it a bit but if he is over 3 or 4 years old it won't do any good.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with beagles, bassetts, and a great dane.
