My Annie Mae went through a bout of head shake (up and down like saying yes) about a month ago. Lasted for just a few minutes so we didn't give it no never mind now she's had them 2 nights in a row.. She gonna be 2 in Oct and everything I read on the web about this sounds ugly as all get up!!! We're going to the vet tomorrow but just I'd throw this out there!!!
Crew Chief
PS This is the same hound that had a tumor removed from her head last fall,, nothing bad found at that time...

I know your "better half" is about to have a stroke about that! Seizures are weird. Lots of beagles have them occasionally and some have them fairly often. Many dogs have them but seem to suffer few after effects. If she had no lasting vision or hearing issues after hers, that is a good sign! It could be genetic (epilepsy) or brain swelling with lots of possible causes. Hopefully, the Vet can figure it out. Best wishes for you all!

Chuck the vet tells us its the process of elimination here. She hasn't gone into a full blown siezure yet just the head shake up and down, no foaming of the mouth or loss of control either. Roger that on Mrs Crew Chief,, this is her baby for sure!!!! Dang this hound is a good little hunter toooo.... She can solo or work with the pack it don't make no never mind!!!
