Cherry Eye??

Post by poorshot »

my 11 month old pup ran all day yesterday and when we picked her up, her eye looked funny. Looking at it closer it looks like the in eye lid is bulging. is this cherry eye ? and if it is how do they get it and can it be fixed. The vet I go to is on vacation can I wait to have him look at it next week or should it be looked at now??? Thanks

I would have it looked at a.s.a.p. Don't take a chance with her eye sight. Since you have just ran her, the chances are very good she has some foreign object in the eye or under the lid.
If you can't run with the BIG DOGS stay on the porch!

Yep, I agree. That eye needs to be looked at now. It very easily could be anything from a little dust to a seed or a twig. Regardless, if it is causing that much irritation the day after, it needs to come out.
