When my pup was young, the vet told me to give her Panacur. What worms does this cover? Is Safeguard, Nemex 2, or Ivomec a good alternative to Panacur?

Coolbrze......Panacur and Safeguard have the same active ingredient Fenbendazole. Fenbendazole is rated Excellent for Hook worms, Round Worms and Whip worms. It is rated Good for Tapes as it only is effective against two of the four type of tapeworms commonly found in dogs.

Neither Nemex or Ivomec would be as a good a Broad Spectrum wormer. Ivomec is excellent for heart worm PREVENTION. Nemex is very good for round and hook.

Probably the best wormer currently on the market is Drontal. Very Expensive for a large kennel.

Panacur or Safeguard would be second. Safeguard MUCH cheaper than prescription Panacur.

HOPE THIS HELPS !!
