Sick Dog! Need some advice!

Guys I have a little 2 year old female that is sick and I have taken her to 2 vets so far and they don't even know whats wrong with her so I need some advice from you guys because these vet bills are getting outrageous!
She started out losing weight and then I noticed she wasn't eating as much as she normally does and then I started seeing blood in her stool and she craps all the time.
Both vets checked her for worms and all the tests came back negative and her temp is always normal. What ever this is dosen't seem to be bothering her that much because she would run all day if I would let her.

Try putting her on a bland diet of rice, couple of veg and some chicken cooked into porridge. A little yogurt or cottage cheese might help too. Do you have other dogs? Is your dog food fresh? Any other dogs having problems? I can give you a recipe for the rice porridge if you email me. She may have a 'sore' gut that is reacting to the food. Carolyn

How long has this been going on????
I am wondering if there could be something bacterial going on. You may want to try a probiotic (lactobacillus acidopholus) product. There are many of them on the market these days or you could use plain yogurt. The probiotics work faster because they contain more of the benefical bacteria, which improves gastrointestinal health.
The rice diet is a good idea, but I would keep it very simple to start with. She may have some food allergies and you need to determine what could be causing it. If you mix to many ingrediants and she still shows signs, you would not know what is causing it. What kind of food do you feed at this time. Believe it or not, chicken it one of the biggest culprits in food allergies in dogs. Corn can also cause some sensitivities as well. Not to mention, it's just not that digestable (unless your are talking corn gluten).
Good luck and keep us posted!

Go to your local health food store and ask for the probiotic. Explain the situation and they should know what to recommend. Start with some yogurt- fast and easy! I'm in Canada so won't recommend brands for where you are! Carolyn

I'm going to start giving her some yogurt first because it's easy to get and then I'm going to order some probiotic from the website that Bunny Runner showed. Hope this will help her! Thanks!!

Having something stuck in her digestive system is what I had in mind when I mentioned x-rays. Thinking maybe a piece of bone, splinter of wood, or any number of things that these little critters decide they wanna chew up and swallow. CHH

If she had something stuck in her gut she would be vomiting. refusing to eat and not pooping. More likely to be an infection or upset of digestive tract from food sensitivity or something she ate like coon poop. Is she a house dog? I had one drink wallpaper paste and another lick fresh paint off the wall. Both cause burning of the digestive tract resulting in diarrhea with blood. Funny what beagles will eat! How is she doing now?
