does any one know if there is ane thing you can do for kennel cough
with out taking them to the vet ..i took mine to the vet cost me little over 100 bucks for about a 6min visit..

If they are running dogs, take them out and run them hard. Pups just have to let it wear off.

Slippery Elm bark works good for bronchial and gastrointestinal problems. It comes in capsule form and you open the capsule and add it to some canned food. Use a whole capsule for an average size beagle (25lbs). This is an herbal remedy that eases the symptoms, but doesn't cure it. I mostly has to run it's course. You can find it in health food stores or vitamin shops.
Many people I know use Albon for kennel cough, but I am not a big advocate of using antibiotics frequently. If you do choose to use an antibiotic, use the whole course, and then follow up with a probiotic (yogurt) to normalize the Gastrointestinal tract.
