I would like to breed by one bitches. Both my females are house dogs though I hunt them. My question is can I breed one of them and allow them to still play with each other? I'm concerned that running and playing hard could hurt the pups shes carrying. Is it ok to allow the bitch to do her normal playing, running and jumping?

I have seen bitches carrying pups compete and win at large pack hare trials. As long as the dogis in shape before, she can continue regular activity for the first while. She'ss tell you when she wants to slow down. Carolyn

I RUN MY PREGANT FEMALES RIGHT UP TO 3 OR 4 WEEKS BEFORE THEIR DUE DATE. IT JUST DEPENDS ON WHEN AND HOW LOW THE MILK SACKS ARE!!!! BECAUSE YOU DON'T WON'T TO CAUSE THEM TO GET CUT UP, OR BECOME SORE!!
ONE OF MY FEMALES JUST HAD PUPS, AT 7 YEARS OLD, AND I RAN HER, AND EVEN TRIALED HER UNJTIL 3 AND A HALF WEEKS BEFORE THE DUE DATE. THEY WERE 5-WEEKS OLD ON WED. 8-31-05. STRONG AND HEALTHY, AND SHE'S WEANING THEM NOW. AND THEY ARE EATING PUPPY FEED.
SHE RAISED 5 OF 6.
