Ivermec
If you give ivermec under the skin behind the neck as to treat mange will this have the same affect as a heartworm prevention?

Draw out 2 10ths cc into syrenge and fill the rest of the way with water squirt itinto the roof of there mouth not stright down there throat. Thats how I give it.

Yes, you can give the same ivermectin orally that you inject (but you can't necessary inject something that is made to give orally or topically). I find it much easier to just squirt it in the mouth and then give a treat. It does taste bad, but the treat helps. This way, I don't have to worry about double dosing a dog that may get the others dose when mixed with food.
The oral dose also helps control fleas, ticks, mites, lice, intestinal worms, viseral worms, ect, not just heartworm. You really shouldn't need any thing else for worming except a pyrantal pamoate based wormer for treating worms which ivermectin doesn't get (whip worm, I think it is).
