Just got a bottle of frontline and the vet sais you only have to apply it once every three months. Does that sound right?

Here is the web site for the product ... http://frontline.us.merial.com/products/index.asp

Its my understanding its 1 month for ticks and 3 months for fleas. My dogs usually go a month and a half / 2 months before ticks start showing up

I want to add this....

I had a package of unmarked frontline from a previous dog...I figured it was the for the larges dog size but I was unsure..So I called the help line and sure enough I was for the 89-132lbs dog. Since I was putting it on a 40lb dog ...I asked ...how much should I use...She replyed half. There is half as much liquid in the tubes for the 23-44lb dogs and the 89-132lbs dog. Since then I have been paying the $3 more for the large tubes and splitting them between two dogs...I get twice as many doses for $3 more...very cost effective

I use it every first of the month. This is what it said on the web page "provides long-lasting, waterproof flea and tick control that keeps working for an entire month."
