i was told by some veteran beaglers that they use equimectrin to worm there dogs, They say it is effective for heartworms and most other worm type parasites. Is this true because it is alot cheaper than any other heartworm treatments I have seen?? It comes in a paste formula for horses and is said to have enough medicine to treat 1250 Lbs.
Anyone else using this on there dogs??

I do as most kennels around the USA do and use Ivomec. I give it by mouth once a month mixed with milk. 1/10th of one CC per 10 pounds of the dog's weigh. A beagle usually gets a 2/10ths of ONE CC dose. You can buy this at a farm store.
