weak puppy??

Post by Hunter »

I am bottle feeding it goats milk cut with pedialite 50/50. It is a little dehydrated also. She had them on 4-26 and it is considerable smaller than the rest maybe 1/2 to 1/3 the others size. Any other suggestions???? Thanks, Paul

Is she still drinking from mom? If mom won't hold still I'd force her to lay still for the smaller one to drink, and continue supplementing.
I'm a fan of KMR powder, you mix it up as you need it, so there is no waste, but if goats milk and pedialyte are all you got, as long as she gains at least little weight each day that is good.
If the pup doesn't have diarrhea, you can use a drop of Nutrical mixed in with her formula. It has a little glucose, vitamins, minerals an lots of good calories that may give her a boost. But you can't use too much, too much can bring on watery stools, and she surely doesn't need that right now. Just a dab will do ya.
