I have two pups that are 4 months old. When I purchased the pups I started feeding them Purina Puppy food. Their poop started getting soft I mean really soft almost to the point of water with chunks. I switched them to Diamond over 2 months ago and their poop has firmed up some but it is still not firm little turds. It is still runny and one big glob. Here is the question, is it the food or do they have a parasite I need to get them treated for?
Thanks
~Fred
Sorry Bev I put this in the wrong forum. My bad.

I would take a stool sample to the vet. Our vet charges $8.00

That's ok, I'll move it to the Beagle Health forum.
I think a fecal exam is also in order. Coccidiosis comes to mind.

fred, you say you switched to reg. dog food or are you still feeding puppy food? if you are still feeding the puppy food, i think that will give you a loose stool in the pups. but i would take them to the vet with a stool sample to be safe.

I would take a stool sample in to the vets too. Sounds to me like it is a bit more than the pup chow. Sometimes I will have a pup who's stools are not as firm as I like to see them but they never should be watery. This can also cause them to be dehydrated because they are not absorbing well. Two main causes of diarerhea in a dog is intestinal parasites and dietary indescretion. Also many canine infections diseases are associated to the same symtom. Give us an update when you can.

Vet just got back from his vacation. When he tested the stool he said it was Coccidiosis (sp). So here we go giving them a week worth of pills. Steve if you read this we had them pretreated for kellel cough.
