Has anyone ever used Ivomec Plus? I bought a bottle from the COOP and thought it was the regular stuff, when I got home I found it was the Ivomec Plus. Just want to know if its ok to use on my dogs. Thanks, Tom[/code]

just read the % of ivermectin in it. 1% is what you want. some has 1.87%. im sure if you had the higher % you could dose it down.

Actually, the PLUS is not good for the dogs, the other ingredient in it has caused serious health issues. The dosage of it in this form is not safe for dogs.
I've used the regular (cattle injectable) by mouth for 8 years on all the dogs, no problems.
Bread works the best, although I have mixed it with pyrantel pamoate cause the stuff IS nasty & burns their throats.

Thanks for the replies, the last thing I ever want to do is hurt one of my dogs through ignorance of a product. I have researched the Ivomec Plus and it is highly recommended not to give to dogs. Thanks for the info guys, and I plan on using the regular Ivomec. Thanks again, Tom C.
