Running in extreme cold weather

At what temperature should you not run hounds. A friend of mine told me last week that he was told that at temps below 10 degrees, you shouldn't run your hounds, because the cold air that is being taken in by a running hound could damage their lungs, ie frost burn. Any truth to this.

Can't think it would, Ive had the dogs out just about everyday for a spin in the field all season, hot, cold, raining, they've never said NO....
Now theres been days when I was freezing and wet, but they didn't notice......
