skin trouble

I have a northway bred male with a greayish coat. He has a very thin coat some times realy thin. Just want get better than half. what could be the problem?

I am assuming you've ruled-out skin conditions such as mange.

It sounds like your beagle's color is "dilute," and while I am not that familiar with dilute color-coats with beagles, I know from experience that dilutes in other breeds generally have thinner and more patchy coats.

You may also want to have your dog's thyroid level tested, as that can affect coat.

You may want to try some fatty acid supplements, too. I know of people who use them fo realthy skin and coats, but I'm not sure which combinations they use.
