Hello Guys, I am new to this conversation but I have been feeding diamond 26/18 for about 16 years I have also tried the 24/20 but it is to hot,the dogs had the runs and fell off in wieght.
I have seen short periods(a bag or two at a time)that was not up to parr.I think it is probably one of two things,Old feed they needed to get rid of or the bottom of the batch and left overs.
I have had better luck to just feed through the bad bags and keep using diamond than switching brands.I have seen and heard of other brands having a bad bag once in awhile too.

I've been using the Diamond 26/18 for about a year now and have no complaints. The dogs look good and their waste is solid which makes clean up a lot easier. I tried three different types of Pride food but had a hard time keeping weight on the dogs in the winter.

I have seen on more than this board some "issues" with Diamond in recent times. Weight loss, brittle hair and stool conditions top the list, as does the 26/18 the folks were feeding.
I made a post some time ago about seeing Diamond available at our area Rural King stores and am thinking perhaps they may have changed something in the ingredients somewhat to
enable them to produce such massive quanities, but of course, it could just have been a bad batch and everyone with "issues" caught a bag out of that batch.
I too, have been a solid user of Diamond in past years, but since switching to Pride have no doubt I'll continue to use it.
With Pride I have far better muscle tone, weights and coat quality. The stool is solid, small and begins to breakup on the second day, meaning it is just total waste and the dog is getting everything they need out of the feed.
Everyone has their own favorite, some dogs just do better on some foods, while others don't
use what works for you & your dogs, I'll be using the Pride!
