Since you are so anal have you tried feeding your dogs a raw diet ????[/quote]

Yup ... been feeding raw (prey model, not BARF) since late 2001 ... when dealing with pups under 1yr, I ONLY feed raw to help promote optimal bone development  I feed mostly raw in the summer, and a 50/50 mix of kibble/raw in the winter, when they need more calories. As a matter of fact, I've got two packages of chicken backs and one pack of hearts defrosting for tomorrow's breakfast right now :chef:

You have no idea just how anal I am about diet, BWAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Looks like you fellows are paying around $20-$22 a bag for Sportmix High Protein (or am I wrong?) I was interested in it, and phoned a dealer here in Ontario Canada for a price. 50# bag of High Energy $47.95 plus 13% tax or $54.18 out the door. I'm still shopping.

My moose meat from this October cost me over $10 a pound for gas, and all expenses. I don't think I'm going to feed it to my hounds ;)
