It is dead and dry as beef jerky past the band now. Make sure it is not getting to raw on the "live side" of the band. The hair will not fall off the "dead part".

it took 4 weeks for my males to fall off but it looks great and he is doing great no problems at all.

It'll fall off between 2-3 weeks, no worries. I've banded 3 so far this season, you gotta do it if the dogs hunt hard and are run often.

my females finally fell off after 4 wks, she had some bleeding and i cleansed it with peroxide and but some blood clotter on it cause it was bleeding a bit after it came off. She is doing very good now, the hair is growing over it now and it hard to tell that she has been docked.Running good with no problems and no bleeding.
well worth it and no high vet fees.
