I've only had 1 puppy here with a short toe. You cannot tell at birth but, it starts to show up around 10-12 weeks of age. It can be associated with dwarfism but, not always.

is it true that if you bob a dogs tail to short you will throw off its balance,,,,,,just something i heard years ago,,,,,,
