Josh, I use Ivomec (cattle ) and give 1/ 10th of a cc per 10 pound body weight. I just started my pup that you have a litter mate to the first of this month and gave him 2 /10ths of a cc. The big dogs I give 5 /10ths of a cc each month.

My vet mixes Ivomec in a multi vitamin and I dose it as written on the bottle. It is WAY cheaper than what I used to be doing with Heartguard Plus. Even buying Pyrantel seperately from him, I have 75% savings and get the same coverage.

So far, I have only been to one vet that cashed my paycheck for me, and I only visited that place once. My hats are off to those doctors that have to diagnose patients without the liberty of them being able to be told what is wrong with their patients. Not to mention having to learn multiple systoms on multiple animals, making only a fraction of what MD's make.

Oooops, that is a little off the subject.

Josh, that's not the one I use. The one I use is the injectable for cattle/swine and it comes in a brown box with a picture of a cows head on it not a pigs. I believe the cattle/swine is 1% where the swinw is .27% Ivomec.

I've used Ivomec for about 3 years. I've wormed anywhere from 4-8 dogs every month and Im still on the same bottle. might have to get a new bottle this fall but thats pretty good......$35 bottle has lasted me 3 years! I've heard anywhere from 1/10cc per 10 lbs to 2/10cc per 10 lbs. I've had great success with it.

I've been using it for several years. I have 11 dogs & each gets 1/10 CC per 10 lb dog weight on the 1st of each month. I start my puppies on it only after they weigh 10 lb.
