bitch in heat

My 5 yr. old bitch finally came in heat.She had her last litter 2 yrs. ago & hasn't came back in.I had already talked to the vet about giving her a shot that would make her come in again but she came in on her own.I'm taking her to get bred on wendsday.CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

I'd suspect thyroid problems if she hasn't com in heat for so long. A bad thyroid is not just a bad thyroid ... it can cause early heart failure, kidney failure. Get this bitch a simple and inexpensive thyroid test which will tell you if she has this problem or not. It can be treated but you definitely don't want to breed her and pass this down to more pups. My 2 cents.
