how to use safe guard wormer in paste

What does this SafeGuard or Panacur treat for? I also noticed that Doc doses his dogs only twice a year and another said something about monthly?? This is from another post I made before reading this thread. I believe this is how it was spelled LEVASOLE . It is a sheep wormer. I have heard you can use it as a all around wormer for dogs(even heartworm preventative). Does anyone currently use this? Or can Doc S approve its use? (just want to make sure it won't harm dogs.) I generally use fenbendazole twice a year, but then I try to have top notch cleanliness in the kennel and I 99 times out of 100 run by myself. The average Joe would do well to use fenbendazole quarterly...monthly would be overkill.
I am not so sure about Levamisole. It is a pretty old dewormer, and most heartworm preventative claims have been long since dropped.
