Just thought maybe I would throw this out there for those that are interested in saving some money on their vet bills...
i Would Also recommend the little Black Book for LOTS of Helpful information for All hound or Dog owners..
# Cephalexin is used in both dogs and cats to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including skin infections, wound infections, bone infections, pneumonia, and bladder infections.
# Cephalexin is similar to the veterinary drug cefadroxil, and veterinarians often use the two drugs interchangeably. The drugs have equal effectiveness.
# Cephalexin is not effective against infections caused by parasites (intestinal worms), mites, viruses or fungi.
these are the Ones we keep on Stock at all times for different treatments on the hounds.
Cephalexin=bacterial ifections/skin to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including skin infections, wound infections, bone infections, pneumonia, and bladder infections.
Amoxicillin= treat ear infections, skin rashes and UTIs. one of the All around antibiotics for dogs real good to use when you notice the start of an infection or as a preventative in case of Wounds 9Dog Bites Insect bites This prescription drug has been very effective to cure bacterial infections that affect the urinary tract, bladder, skin, and even the respiratory system. Amoxicillin is also useful to speed up the healing of a wound or an injury in dogs. Amoxicillin for dogs works by destroying the bacteria, thereby stopping its growth, to put an end to the infection. Once amoxicillin treatment begins, the dog is likely to recover within 7-10 days.
