Panacur(fenbendazole) liquid is a 10% suspension and the paste is also a 10% suspension; therefore, the dose is the same for either. I prefer to use the liquid as it is easier, but the paste can be squeezed into a syringe as previously mentioned. I use 1 ml(or c.c.) per 5# of bodyweight once a day for 3 days in a row. Couldn't tell you just exactly how long that would be on your finger! LOL! I generally do this at least twice a year in the entire kennel. I also do this right before breeding a bitch as I just did with me Valentine gyp before taking her down to breed to IFC Shady Creek Ain't That A Kicker.(BTW...Didn't breed to Kicker because of the "IFC" in front of his name. Bred to him because of the season I gun hunted him in AR. Oh, and the pedigree did "nick" well.)

Safeguard liquid
I found safeguard liquid at tractor supply co. here in southwestern ohio. It runs 13.92 a bottle.
Take the big Safe-Guard (S-G) syringe that the paste comes in and then take a regular 3cc syringe. Take the needle off the regular syringe and put the small syringe tip down inside the big S-G tip. Hold them together tight and press down on the S-G plunger on a table or something. The regular 3cc syringe will fill right up! Stop at the desired level.
I administer S-G to my hounds every other month at 2 1/2cc's per day for 3 consecutive days. Just open their mouth and squirt on the back of their tongue. I have a couple of dogs that apparently love the taste of it as they will jump up trying to get more of it
Hope this helps some!

you guys do know the tube of paste is dosed for a horse??? Dogs require 10 times amount of fenben medicine than horses ...the fenbendozole horse dose is 5 mcg/k the dog dose is 50 mcg/k...Therefore that ENTIRE tube is one dose for a 1000lb horse or 100lb dog. You would need a superball or golfball size amount of paste for a 25lbs beagle.
Do not use the paste...It contains mostly filler so horses can take it....This info comes directly from the manafacturer. Talk to a Vet and call the manafacture...i did. ...If you want the real info ...read this ....find the links it put in the response and do the math yourself...get the 10% solution

For the paste users....YOU ARE NOT GIVING ANYWHERE NEAR ENOUGH MEDICINE ....I really interesting how this internet mis-information goes from board to board

mundellm, I have read both labels of the paste and liquid forms.....they are BOTH 10% suspension. I have conversed with 2 different veteranarians about this, both told me the same thing in different wording. 1cc per 5 lbs, 3 consecutive days....10% suspension fenbendazole.....the liquid and paste are both 10% suspension, just in different forms. I'll take your info to my vet and see what he says. BTW, are you a vet? Just curious.

It appears to me that Doc S that responded twice to this thread has a title by his name. Maybe that means he is a pretty good source of information when it comes to administering drugs to animals, most veterinarians are pretty good at that.
I find it really interesting how this internet mis-information goes from one to another.
