I use Revolution it kills fleas, ticks, ear mites, mange mites, heart worm and some intestinal worms. It is topical and you apply it once a month between April and September.

That is good advice. We have used Revolution for some time now, and we have had very good results. It's easy to use, and takes hardly no time to apply. We pay roughly $9.00 per dog to treat, but if you've ever had a serious problem with worms or mange it's worth the money. You can often times find it at your vet like we do, or I've seen it on-line as well.

I know this is probably one of those dumb questions guys but our female pup just went through a bout with sarcoptic mange. Our vet said ivomec and clavamec was the only way to go. She's had two shots of ivomec and 11 days of the drops and looks as good as new. He told us there was no topical salution for this problem, are we getting connnnnned?????

Mange mite

I think when it is a full blown case of mange the Vet will use ivomec to kill the mite and cure the problem quickly. Revolution is a preventative but it kills most blood sucking parasites

even with shots of ivermectin it is not a quick and easy kill of the mange mites....repeated treatment vaccinations of ivermectin spaced 10 days to 2 weeks apart thyen rechecked every 2weeks to see how treatment is working.all around cleaning and disinfecting of kennel areas and anywhere dog mya have come in contact or may in the future...
thesemange mites are a major pain.

just my own past experiences...

good luck..
