Yes Crew Chief / the heartworm meds given in the dosage recommended for heart worm is not enough to kill any other parasites. You must perform MONTHLY worming program to keep your hounds at their best.

What to use ?????????? Valbazen / Panacur will get most all worms with the exception of the tapeworm which comes from fleas (their are two species of tapeworm)

The best medicine bar NONE / is dronatol -its kills all worms execpt heartworm and both species of tapeworm but its pricey if you have alot of hounds / best bet is safgaurd liquid or valbazen with dronatol every two months

Thanks for the info, Joe. Me and my Wife are sortting this out little by little. Boy we can see we GOT A LOT TO LEARN!!!!!! We raised to kids and this is like starting over again... We sure do love these beagles.....
