We have six beagles, one retired, 4 currently being run at least once a week, and one on hiatus due to surgery.
My question is this: Days after running, I noticed spots on the dogs' ears, legs, chest area about the size of the top of a pencil eraser. Some have scabbed over, some are raw, and some have yellowish-green pus coming out of them. What are these? Has anyone else seen these on their dogs? Does it have to do with where we're running them at or are they bites of some kind? I guess that's more than one question, but any help would be much appreciated.
The dogs all live in the kennel together, by the way.

Happiness is owning a beagle...or seven.
skin problem
I've just found this board, so you may get a better response from others posting later. But I'll put in my .02... the pus draining from the site suggests bacterial infection, so my first suggestion for a simple treatment would be a topical antibiotic cream. This type of skin problem is not uncommon, but it can have various causes. If the bites show up after running the dogs and they show up on only one dog I'd believe them to be bites of some sort and that particular dog has a simple allergy. If they are pus-filled when you find them, they've been there for a while and didn't "just now" occur. If the skin around them seems red and irritated, or if the dog is scratching, you might try some Benadryl -- cream and/or oral -- to relieve the allergy symptoms.
