paralyzed bitch
Has anyone ever had a bitch paralyzed in the rear end and still deliver pups? While in the stud pen I have a bitch that was climbing the chain link about 6 feet high and jumping down. Well she came up paralyzed in her back legs. The vet said she could carry the pups through out the pregnancy, but the delivery would be messy because of no muscle control in her rear end. I want the pups bad because her sire HOF Bayou City Bud E Boy is dead and she is one of only two females out of him that I know of. I have another bitch that will welp one week before these are due, so I would have a surrogate mother.

To anyone interested, I put her on Metacam which is a substitute for Bute, and she is trying to stand and walk a litte. Chris

Re: paralyzed bitch
Mike, she was trying to get around a little. She would stand and wobble around the hutch. She had three pups today and they were deformed. I don't know if it was the Metacam or the paralysis. Any way I'll be putting her down tomorrow. Chris
