Hoarse breath sounds
Occasionally when I turn my female out of the kennel to run she will start beathing heavy with a hoarse breath sound for a minute or two. She only does this when she gets excited. Has anyone seen this before and how did you treat it. Thanks, Danny
Re: Hoarse breath sounds
They call it "reverse sneezing".
I usually take a palm full of water and pour it down the hounds mouth, if your really gutzy, cup your hands around the hounds muzzle and blow into your hands through his nose. The little flapper thing at the back of the throat gets flipped inwards into the nasal passage and the hound is trying to suck it back into the throat, you know, how those guys do it that can spit 15 feet...
