Pad Problem

Post by Blue Briar Kennel »

I have a male that I have been doctoting for 2 weeks now. His pads are starting to heal but it seems like it is taking forever. Is this normal? Do some hounds have alot of problems with their pads all the time? Is it a genetic defect or is it pretty common? His pads seem to have the same texture as my other hounds. This is the first hound that I have had that had any problems at all with their pads.

Pad problem

Happy Jack has a product called Pad Kote. Is aids in healing cut pads and also says it is suppost to toughen up the pads. I would try to put that on his pads every day for a while and see if they toughen up.
