I have never seen such a badly infected ear, ever. Well, I just ran out of antibiotics for the dog w/ the eye infection a few days ago, and of course, the infection was back within 24hrs. Yesterday I went looking for something to use on the dog with the hot spot, and for ear wash for the mutt dog until we could throw away a good $100 at the Vet. I came across a topical spray in the pet store that is supposed to be natural & is an antibacterial/antifungal/antimicrobial. Paid about $11 for 8 oz. Let me tell you, I started it on Thursday, spraying the infected eyes/ears 3x daily. The 6 yr old mutt with the leaking, oozing ear is totally healed up already!!!!!!!!!! Looked better that same day, too. The hound with the eye infection is 95% better. His eye tearing is dried up, haven't seen any mucous in teh eye since yesterday. Dog with the hot spots was completely healed up with the 3rd application.
