I'm interested in hearing some home remedies for getting swelling down.Something besides the regular shots you get from the vet.

A copperhead bite isn't nearly as bad as a rattlesnake or cottonmouth bite. I've only had 1 bitten (copperhead) and I gave it Benadryll and penicyllin and it swelled up real bad but that was it.

A friend of mine had his golden retreiver bit by a copperhead and had to have the front paw removed. Naturally, the dog ran away not long after they brought him back from the vet and they were out big $$$. I wasn't too sure on the vets procedures though, but I'd guess they'd know better than me.
