Pup has sore

Talked to a vet friend of mine about a sore on a lab pup. He said bacterial fungus is pretty common and it's easily cleared up w/ betadine and/or vinegar/water mix. Any of you ever tried this?

If it is a staph infection you will need an oral antibiotic, the betadine solution treatment only treats the outside. If it is just a skin infection it will work quick, but if it is working from the inside out you will find more break outs of it.

Quick, you weren't kidding. I think it took a day and a half and it's mostly better.
