Defecate Discomfort

Post by Lee »

Dear Doc,
My nine year old male is experiencing pain during defecation to the point that he squeals during the act . The stool is soft and very small in diameter. He appears to be very healthy otherwise and romps and plays with the two litters of puppies that he sired in March. I follow a strict worming program and see no indication of intestinal worms. His appetite and eating habits are normal. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Have him checked out. Could be something as benign as impacted anal glands to something as insidious as prostatic disease.
