Lyme disease

Doc, one of my dogs tested positive for lyme. My vet gave me some antibiotics for him, and said it should help it. He said its not as big a deal in dogs than in humans and can be treated with these meds. What is your take?

Lyme disease for some reason does not seem to cause the plethora of long-term problems in dogs that it does in people. Don't have a good answer why for you. It does require long term antibiotic therapy however...weeks to months.
