Canimax.
controls hooks, rounds, tapes, and heart worms.

Also, I am new to medicating my dogs. Is there any reason why I should by wormer pills for small dogs at $24.76, when I could get pills for medium dogs at $25.87 and cut them in half?

thanks everybody.

nb11,

I have not had any experience with this product, so I can't advise on it. I can say that if you purchase the "treatlets" and spilt them in half, your dogs might not be getting a full dose. These forms of preventatives are not like a pill and the "medication" in the treatlet is not as evenly distributed as it would be when given in pill form.
Personally, I use ivermectin for heartworm and Pro Pam for the other worms. I do this monthly and it's probably cheaper than the price you would pay for 6 months. The supplies I would get for a little more that your six months supply would last me for well over a year.
I believe the Canimax (after reading the ingredients) using a synthetic form of ivermectin, in addition to other active ingredients.
If you would like more info on how to use Ivermectin, there are alot of people on here that use and have used it for a long time and can give you all the information you would ever need on how to use it.

Bunny Runner,

I've been using Ivermectin for a few years now and saw your post about Pro Pam. Is it used as a preventative for the other types of worms? Do you use it once a month also? Where do you buy yours?

Thanks,
