To each their own....but that sure ain't my style of hounds

I had no idea they were that slow....I assume this is what would be considered a "walkie-talkie" dog???

That was some pretty competative flagging going on. Which one wagged its tail the most? LMAO

Just curious what is the point of having dogs that run that slow. Not trying to be smart and anyway. Just curious.

They always tell me "Speed has nothing to do with it". Well just this weekend our club had a Gundog Brace Trial and I entered a few of mine, I couldnt enter my best two because they are so torn up from the last five weeks of trialing I decided to give them a break. The three that I entered are SPO and Im telling you these Brace judges just loved them.
An SPO judge was there with his dad and when he saw who I entered he said "I gotta come out to see this" My Windy Hollow's Little Anchor Man picked up the line on the top of the hill behind our club and ran it full throttle to the bottom of the hill and put it in the hole and when the judges got there he was trying to dig the rabbit out. minutes later my wife came out with him on a lead and said he was too fast. I told the judge "Speed has nothing to do with it". He told me they picked him up for swinging. I asked him how they saw all that in a 19 second run.
