First Place: Sand Valley Rueben (Pete Marra)
This dog looks like a hunting machine to me. He has a nice large nose, nice earset, excellent length of ear, nice long neck, good forechest, what appear to be sloping shoulders, nice bone, strong hocks, nice bend of stifle, and a strong looking back.. His feet look strong and tight and his nails are well maintained. He certainly appears to have plenty of length of leg and depth of chest. I would like to see a better brush on his tail and he could use maybe a tad higher tailset but from the picture that is hard to tell for sure. If he can hunt and handle as well as he looks than he is surely one fine hound.
Second Place: Denby's Comanche Warrior "War Dog"
Here is another impressive looking dog. I would really love to see him with his head and tail stacked "up." He appears nicely balanced with excellent rear angles, strong legs with nice bone and some lovely feet. He probably has the nicest tailset of the bunch and from what I can see I bet there is some nice brush hiding in his handlers hand. Nice earset, nice depth of chest. His back looks short and strong. A truly super looking hunting dog.
Third Place: Boogity (Smith Bros. Beagle)
At first glance Boogity really impressed me with his flashy markings and his nice head. I would like to see a little more head for a male but, it is balanced with his body. He appears to have a nice earset with good length of ear and adequate fullness of muzzle. His eye looks large and dark. His tail has a nice flag and super brush. He also apears to have nice feet and trimmed nails (a pet peeve of mine so get ready to clip for the reg. Tri class). He is moderately angled in the rear but, I would like to see more bend of stifle. He appears to have a decent layback of shoulder but the angle of the camera makes it harder to see. Good forechest and nice muscling. I would love to see him stacked with his tail in the proper "UP" position and I think he could use a little more length of leg. All in all he is a beautiful hound, and obviously performing well for his handler.
4th Place:
JKidd5 "Jason" (the last dog entered)
I love this Beagles expression. She has a beautiful eye with lovely mascara. I like her earset and she has lovely long ears. She appears slightly low on leg but has nice angles, good bone and a nice topline and tailset. She is well presented, clean and in good condition.
Honorable Mention: Montgomery's Foxfire Dani
This is a beautifully presented bitch. She appears in good condition and well balanced fore and aft. She has nice tight catfeet, just enough bone and low hocks. She has very nice depth of chest for her age. She looks like she could use a little more muscling in her thighs but she is still a puppy and has a lot of filling out yet to do.

Well that dog's name is Daisy. I no longer own her but she was raised from a pup to little over a yr here. That pic was took the day she left. She was a Rabbitt running machine. A little to fast for my pack but a heck of a rabbit dog none the less. She lives in TN now where they run a little faster hound than I do. Oh she is a grade dog another reason she left here.

For anyone interested in entering the regular TRI colored Beagle contest you are hereby forewarned that I agreed to be the judge again
Please tell me the name, age, size and sex of your BEAGLE with the picture. If it is okay with Bev I am going to request purebred BEAGLES only please.
and last but not least..Please give your dog a chance by trying to stack it on a decent surface...it is kind of hard to judge a dog that is sitting on the ground licking its

Everyone please wait until Bev gets the regular Tri-colored Beagle contest thread up and running before posting your pictures. This thread is going to be locked once she has a chance to post the Open marked Tri Winners pix.
Thanks!
Cindy
P.S. Thats a very nice Beagle Windy Hollow...please wait and enter it on the new thread...if you can get a better stacked picture of her she will have a better chance too
That huge trophy is blocking a lot of Beagle and I'd rather see the whole dog. Same with the pup.
Thanx.
Thanks!
